Thus, the assembly process is divided into component assembly and general assembly. The assembly of each component is done simultaneously by several groups of workers, and the final assembly is done by workers in other groups. Final assembly is carried out on a fixed platform, and assembly of parts can be either fixed or mobile, depending on production conditions.
With multiple groups of workers working at the same time and using more specialized tools, workers can be specialized in this assembly mode. So it is the assembly organization form of mass production of large and medium-sized machines. At present, mass production of diesel locomotive adopts this form.
